Moving from access to success
Magazine: Launched in 2013, 17cÆð²ÝºìÌÒ’s Reading Collegiate Scholars Program provides up to 10 full, four-year scholarships to promising Reading-area students each year while also providing tutoring, mentoring and college application assistance to hundreds more in the inner-city school district. But the program is about much more than access to college.
Breaking new ground on campus
News: 17cÆð²ÝºìÌÒ is breaking ground for an innovative Recreation, Wellness and Health Sciences Complex, as the highlight of a new East Campus.
PLEX named to honor longest-serving president
News: The university’s Board of Trustees announced that it had unanimously voted to name the facility the “Tom and Helen Flynn Complex.â€
President Flynn to end 14-year journey
News: After 14 years of transformational leadership, the extraordinary journey of Thomas F. Flynn as president of 17cÆð²ÝºìÌÒ will end June 2019.
Top scholars recognized
News: 17cÆð²ÝºìÌÒ students and faculty received awards for academic achievement and and service to the community at a formal ceremony, April 2018.
Donnelly and Kaufman named Neag Professors
News: Drs. Kevin Donnelly and Mark Kaufman have been awarded multi-year Neag Professorships at 17cÆð²ÝºìÌÒ.Â
Harry J. Deitz Jr named Weitzman Award winner
News: 17cÆð²ÝºìÌÒ's Seniors College presented the 2018 Rabbi Alan Weitzman Award for Community Service to retired Reading Eagle Editor, Harry J. Deitz, Jr., and honored longtime faculty member Marybeth DeMeo with the 2018 Saint Bonaventure Award in Teaching.
Grant to support Lancaster nursing students
News: Catholic Health Initiatives’ CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health in Lancaster, Pa., and the Elizabeth Tillman Musser Foundation have granted nearly a total of more than $188,000 for Lancaster residents pursuing full-time nursing degrees at 17cÆð²ÝºìÌÒ.
